... EncounterFest has been amazing!!!! I'm so thankful that I got to register. For those of you who don't know, EncounterFest is the youth conference here at Hillsong and it ROCKS!!!! It's all about having an encounter with God and boy has that been happening in my life! God has been speaking right to me through the messages. Romans 8:33-34 says - "Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? Will God? NO! He is the one who has given us the right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? Will Christ Jesus? No, for He is the one who died for us and was raised to life for us and is sitting at the place of highest honour next to God, pleading for us." This was a good reminder for me that in God's eyes, I'm already perfect and nothing that I do (or don't do) can make Him change His mind about me. And Galatians 5:1 says - "So Christ has really set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law." This verse connects with the passage in Romans - God has set me free, delcared me right in His sight and I have been reminded that NO ONE can take away those two things from me and I shouldn't let the enemy tell me otherwise. :)

I wish I could keep these verses at the forefront of my mind and actions. It's so easy to forget and stop looking to; listening for; or walking with GOD.
Encounterfest was so great, eh? I'm so encouraged by what you wrote...that must have been from Friday, I think I missed that. So good, a great reminder for me too! I'm looking forward to "weighing down" with you Drea!
